Overview
Hammerite High Heat Paint is an easy to use, durable and heat resistant spray paint. Specially formulated to withstand temperatures up to 600˚C and resist cracking and flaking making it ideal for use on fire surrounds, boilers, pipe work and fire guards. The easy to use aerosol spray application offers quick and even coverage. This high heat spray paint is repaintable in only 15 minutes and does not require a primer. The lovely matt black finish will give you a heat proof finish on metal surfaces.

Preparation
Always ensure the surface to be treated is clean, dry and free from any dust, dirt, grease, flaking paint or rust.
- This heat resistant paint can be applied to fireplaces, pipes and boilers but always ensure the surface is cool before and during preparation and allow it to fully cure before use.
- Lightly abrade the surface with sandpaper to remove loose paint and rust, use a 120 grit sandpaper on bare or rough surfaces or a 240 grit on smooth/sound surfaces.

- Then rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
Application
Before applying Hammerite High Heat Aerosol Spray Paint we recommended to test a small area to ensure you are happy with the finished results.
- Ensure the surface is cool and dry before application.
- Do not apply in temperatures below 8˚C or above 25˚C.
- Mask off and cover the surrounding area to protect from overspray.
- For optimum performance store at room temperature 2 hours prior to use.
- Shake the aerosol can vigorously until the agitator ball is heard and then continue to shake for a further 3 minutes.
- Spray the matt black heat resistant paint in light even strokes from a distance of 15cm to avoid runs.
- When touch dry (around 30 minutes) apply a further 2-3 coats, allowing 5 minutes between each coat.
- Allow to dry overnight.
- Turn the aerosol upside down and spray for 2 seconds in between coats and after final use.
